Level 1 – Foundation Curriculum
Available both In-Person & Live Virtually
In Level 1 – Foundation the groundwork is laid for the instructor. They will be introduced to the three cornerstones of Plane Truth Golf. Those are the Plane Truth + & – Impact System (Diagnostic Tool), 1 & 2 Plane Swings (Swing Shape), and RIT & LOP Releases (Correct & Repetitive Impact). To gain ownership of the information the instructor will have access to The Matrix for continuing education. The Matrix is our web-accessed, video-driven, “drill-down” knowledge base application for understanding all things golf instruction.

Day 2
Pre-Requisites
- To attend a Level 1 Certification, one must be an active teaching professional.
- Prior to attending, instructors need to watch the Plane Truth + & – Impact System video that can be accessed two weeks prior to the class. You will provided a link to the video on our website. Instructors can also utilize Jim Hardy’s book Solid Contact which discusses this topic.
- Instructors should also be familiar with the concepts of 1 & 2 Plane Swings either through reading Jim Hardy’s first two books, The Plane Truth for Golfers and The Plane Truth for Golfers Master Class and/or watching The Plane Truth for Golfers.
- Attendees should have knowledge of the LOP & RIT Releases from reading The Release: Golf’s Moment of Truth book and/or watching The Release Video.
- Please note that no audio or video recording of this certification course is allowed.
Certification Requirements
Certification & Examination
To be awarded Level 1 – Foundation certification, you must score an 85% or higher on an online exam that will be administered at the end of the certification.
Maintaining Certification
To maintain certification, instructors must utilize the instructor benefits continuing education opportunities provided to them. They must also stay current with the ever-evolving information by attending the Plane Truth Instructor Summit at least once every two years.
Lastly, to continue receiving all instructor benefits the instructor must remain current with their dues. There are two payment options for dues, $50 per month or $500 per year.
